Proprietor has childcare qualifications at level 6 including special needs, highscope training and a language development course. The 3 other staff members are qualified to Fetac Level 5 in childcare.

The playschool was founded in 1994 and is indivdually managed. The playgroup is a member of the I.P.P.A. and operates according to its standards. The HSE has been notified of our existence and our location. We aim to adhere to their requirements. We use the Highscope approach to childcare, combining care with education encouraging children to learn through their own experiences by doing things together, by themselves and in their own time. Our policy is learning through play using artwork, stories, songs, constructional toys, games, physical play and outings. We aim to provide a high standard of play, care and education enriching the lives of the children through a play based child centered approach.
